Inter-Insurance Exchange conducted its first annual member meeting
April 15th, electing five new members to the Exchange's Board of
Governors.
Conventus is
New Jersey
's only physician owned and governed medical professional liability
insurance company. A meeting of the newly-expanded Board of Governors followed
immediately after the member meeting.
"Conventus
is well on its way to becoming the premier medical professional liability
insurance company in the state, providing the best solution for New Jersey
physicians," Dr. Albert A. Talone, Chairman of the
Conventus Board of
Governors, told the assembled members. "I encourage all our members to actively
participate in the Exchange, and be ambassadors for its growth. Active
participation by members is crucial to the success of the Exchange."
The
five new
Conventus Board Members, elected by overwhelming majority, are:
Michael G. Faust, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.;
Kevin M. Fleming, M.D.; Jeffrey E. Levy, M.D.; Bevon D. Miele, M.D.; and
Clifford J. Schob, M.D.

Conventus Board of Governors," said new Board Member Clifford
J. Schob, M.D. "The physician governance feature is every member's
guarantee that the exchange is being managed in their best interests.

apart from other insurance carriers."
In
addition to discussing recent legislation passed by the State Assembly
and Senate related to insurance reform, members heard the Conventus
Attorney-in-Fact, NIP Management Company, LLC, report on continuing
investments made to support the growth of the company.

Barry Barron, President of NIP
Management Company. "We're extremely confident about the continuing growth of
the company going forward."
