Conventus Announces New Senior Risk Management Consultant
(Woodbridge, NJ) March 13, 2007 — NIP Management Co., LLC, the Attorney-in-Fact for Conventus Inter-Insurance Exchange, is pleased to announce that M. Patricia McBride has joined the Conventus management team as Senior Risk Management Consultant. Conventus is the only 100% physician owned and 100% physician governed company offering medical professional liability insurance coverage for New Jersey physicians. “We are thrilled to be able to add a risk management professional of Pat’s caliber,” said Conventus President John Karlen. “Her addition will help Susan Lieberman, our VP of Risk Management, to expand Conventus’ outstanding risk management department and the products and services it provides to our members. I’m confident that Pat will contribute greatly to our ability to achieve that goal.” McBride brings 20 years of healthcare risk management experience to NIP and Conventus. Most recently she was the Director of Risk Management for Raritan Bay Medical Center, where she developed and expanded the risk management and patient safety programs. Before that, she spent fourteen years at Princeton Insurance Company, eventually directing the healthcare risk consulting division, where she spearheaded the development of innovative risk management programs, products and services for physicians and healthcare facilities. McBride began her career in healthcare as a nurse working in such specialty areas as Trauma, Cardiac Care and the Neurosciences.
