Conventus Holds Third Annual Member Meeting
(Woodbridge, NJ) May 3, 2006 — Conventus Inter-Insurance Exchange held its Annual Members Meeting on May 3, 2006 in Woodbridge, NJ. The first order of business was the voting on the re-election of the Conventus Board of Governors. The first 5-member class of Governors was up for re-election after serving for 3 years. They are: Chairperson Albert Talone, D.O.; Vice-Chairperson Wendy Warren, M.D.; Robert B. Hill, M.D.; Michael H. Rieber, M.D.; and Bret A. Garber, D.O. Nearly 20% of the membership returned their Proxy Forms to vote for the Board of Governors, and the vote was nearly unanimously in favor of re-electing the slate of Governors. “That kind of member response is very gratifying,” said Conventus President John Karlen. “It shows the membership cares and wants to be involved in the governance of the Exchange. We would like to see more members join us for future meetings, but we realize that with a physician’s busy schedule, that isn’t always possible.” Members that did attend were treated to a report of the Company’s current affairs, as well as an in-depth explanation of the company’s financial position and reports from Risk Management, Sales and Marketing. There was also an opportunity for members in attendance to ask questions of the Board and the management company. “It is apparent that our company is doing well, and that we should stay the course,” said Board Chairman Dr. Albert Talone. “It is also clear that what we are doing here with Conventus is important.
