Conventus Releases Results of 2009 Member Survey
(Woodbridge, NJ) December 8, 2009 – Conventus Inter-Insurance Exchange has released the results of its 2009 Member Survey, and with those results a 94% satisfaction rating.  Conventus members overwhelmingly approve of the direction of the Exchange and would recommend membership to fellow physicians.

"Member satisfaction is a high priority for the Conventus Management Team," said Conventus President John Karlen.  "As a 100% physician owned and governed reciprocal exchange, we are dedicated to providing the most consistent and reliable coverage, as well as attentive customer service.  After our 2009 Member Survey results were tallied, we're proud to say that the overall results indicate that members are very satisfied with their Conventus membership and the service they receive." 

Receiving nearly double the responses over the prior year, the 2009 survey provided valuable feedback on the services most used and appreciated by Conventus members.  Sample respondent comments include: "Outstanding service and outstanding legal representation," and, "The staff at the Risk Management/Claims Hotline are extremely helpful; very sensitive and sensible in dealing with issues and the physician's point of view.  You feel you're taken care of when you talk to them."

In the 2009 survey, 94% of respondents reported they are Extremely Satisfied or Satisfied with their overall experiences with Conventus.  This percentage ranks consistently across the three years of surveys Conventus has conducted.

Conventus also polled members on their level of satisfaction with each of the Exchange's five functional areas - Sales, Underwriting, Accounting, Risk Management and Claims - asking them to rate the staff of each area on their promptness of service, knowledge, courtesy and availability.

In the areas of Sales, Underwriting and Risk Management, Conventus' ratings rose from the previous year with 93-98% Extremely Satisfied or Satisfied.  Ratings for the Accounting department were 92-95% Extremely Satisfied or Satisfied.  And 92% were Extremely Satisfied or Satisfied with Claims.

Karlen concluded his statements by saying, "Going forward, Conventus remains committed to maintaining the security and stability of the Exchange and will maintain its sound and conservative underwriting discipline in order to ensure the consistent and detailed coverage our members have come to expect."
