Conventus membership is available
exclusively to New Jersey physicians in private practice.
Joining Conventus is a two-step process. First, we determine if you
qualify. Because we are physicians, we understand that even
the best physicians providing high-quality care will
experience claims.
When reviewing applications for membership, we
take the time to speak to applicants directly in |

order to
develop a more complete understanding of their practice and
history. We also take the circumstances of claims into
consideration. That’s why we’re able to avoid arbitrary or
indiscriminate membership denials. Second, we ask members to
pay in surplus capital to help fund our operations.
Our members are guaranteed the right to
purchase policies at cost for as long as they qualify. If the
premiums we collect consistently exceed our expenses, we
return the excess to our members in the form of dividends or
distributions*.
